Tom Holland suggested a key Far From Home scene centered on Tony Stark will play a pivotal role in his third Spider-Man film.
While Sony may have rejected Disney offer of a 50/50 co-financing stake to continue collaborating on Spider-Man films, Tom Holland is still set to play the wall-crawler in the next chapter of the film series. While details on the story for the third Spider-Man film are currently under wraps, Tom Holland attended Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia over the weekend and teased a key scene tied to Tony Stark playing a crucial role in his next outing as the wall-crawler.
The scene in question occurred after Tom Holland’s Spider-Man suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Mysterio and the young hero had to call Happy Hogan to give him a lift back to London. While traveling back to meet with the rest of classmates, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man confessed his apprehension over being the “next Iron Man” until Happy informs him that Tony Stark would not have sacrificed himself to defeat if he didn’t know Peter Parker would be there in his absence. While Tom Holland was slim on the details, he did tell fans that the aforementioned Tony Stark scene is pivotal for his Spider-Man films, including the third chapter:
“I think the best work I’ve ever done in any film is the scene with [Jon] Favreau on the plane, and that’s such a pivotal moment for the three films that we’re making — well, two films we’ve made, one film we’re making. It’s… I don’t really know how to describe it without giving stuff away. I’m really trying hard here [laughs].”
