Following the recent split from Disney, Sony Pictures Entertainment released a new “Night Monkey” promo for the digital release of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

After Sony rejected Disney’s proposed 50/50 co-financing stake to continue collaborating on Spider-Man projects, the studio opted to move forward without Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige as the creative lead on the Tom Holland film series. While the Disney and Sony split resulted in Spider-Man no longer being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans humorously suggested Marvel Studios adopt the “Night Monkey” moniker used in Far From Home to continue using Tom Holland’s wall-crawler without any legal repercussions.

However, it appears Sony may be trolling Disney after releasing a new promo for the digital release of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home that spotlights “Night Monkey.” As fans may remember, Ned Leeds referred to Spider-Man as Night Monkey in order to keep his classmates from figuring out that the wall-crawler has followed them to Europe.

While Disney and Sony will no longer co-producer Spider-Man films, Tom Holland is still set to reprise his role as the wall-crawler for a third film. However, fans hoping Disney and Sony can work out a deal may be out of luck for now, as Sony Pictures Chief Tony Vinciquerra recently stated the “door is closed” on a new Spider-Man agreement for the time being.

Here is the official synopsis for Spider-Man: Far From Home:
