Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios unveiled the first official poster for the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home. The new film, which features Tom Holland in his third standalone outing as the beloved webhead, will thrust him into an adventure with the Multiverse, thanks to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

The first official poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home finally dropped, and it sure looks like Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is about to deal with his biggest threat yet thanks to the advent of the Multiverse. You can check out the new poster for the film down below.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be the final entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to release this year. 2021 has already been a pretty massive year for the franchise, with the release of four new theatrical films as well as the first foray into Disney Plus exclusive series. It seems fitting that the year will be capped off with perhaps the biggest film in the franchise since Avengers: Endgame.

Tom Holland’s future as Spider-Man in the MCU remains a mystery, given the current state of the contract between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. However, it seems likely that we will be seeing him interacting with numerous villains introduced in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, including Tom Hardy’s Venom and Jared Leto’s Morbius. Who knows? The Multiverse is known to be pretty wild.

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is umasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film, as well as what’s going on in Marvel Studios’ Multiverse, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
