Zendaya seems to have unfollowed Sony on Instagram after the studio opted to no longer co-produce the Tom Holland Spider-Man films with Marvel.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Sony and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige would no longer co-produce Spider-Man films after the former company couldn’t reach an agreement to continue its partnership with Disney. The news prompted many fans to assign blame for the situation on either Sony or Disney, though most continue to hope both parties can resume negotiations and reach a deal to keep Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Zendaya’s MJ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Yesterday, Tom Holland seemingly unfollowed Sony’s Instagram account over the split with Marvel and it appears Zendaya has taken the same action on her own social media page. As seen in the screenshot below, Zendaya is not following Sony on Instagram and if she opted to unfollow the account just two days after news of the Marvel split broke, it might suggest she and Tom Holland aren’t pleased with the Spider-Man situation.
What do you make of Zendaya and Tom Holland not following Sony on Instagram? Do you think it could be over the failed negotiations between Sony and Disney? Are hoping a deal can still be reached to keep Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Zendaya’s MJ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Let us know below!
