20th Century Fox’s side of the Marvel Movie universe is full speed ahead. With Deadpool 2 releasing in May, X-Men: Dark Phoenix in November, New Mutants in 2019 and Gambit in the works, Fox doesn’t seem to be slowing down. X-Men star Tye Sheridan sat down with The Wrap and he opened up about the superhero sequel.

“Jean goes crazy in the movie, well, Cyclops doesn’t think she’s going crazy; Cyclops just thinks she’s gotta work some stuff out. It’s interesting, the drama in the movie. We treated this movie as much more of a drama versus a superhero film.

The highly-anticipated X-Men film will adapt the Dark Phoenix Saga comic book storyline where Jean Grey struggled to control and succumbed to the Phoenix Force within.
