The CW is developing a new DC Comics drama titled Superman & Lois with Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.

Featuring Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane, The CW’s Superman & Lois is described as a series that revolves “around the world’s most famous super hero and comics’ most famous journalist deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.” Former The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing is writing Superman & Lois. He will also serve as an executive producer alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.

Tyler Hoechlin made his debut as the Arrowverse’s Superman in a season two episode of Supergirl in 2016 while Elizabeth Tulloch first appeared as Lois Lane in last year’s Elseworlds crossover event. Both of them are set to reprise their respective roles in The CW’s adaptation of the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline by Marv Wolfman and George Perez.

In addition to the regular cast members of each Arrowverse series, Crisis will feature appearances by Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, Brandon Routh as Clark Kent/Superman and Ray Palmer / The Atom, LaMonica Garrett as the Anti-Monitor, Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, Tom Cavanagh as Pariah, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex, Erica Durance as Lois Lane and Tom Welling as Clark Kent / Superman. Burt Ward is also on board in an undisclosed role.

Crisis will span two quarters and consist of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover will launch with three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January.
