Universal debunks a recent set report which suggested several crew members on Jurassic World: Dominion tested positive for the coronavirus.

Press in the United Kingdom recently reported that a number of crew members on the Jurassic World: Dominion set had tested positive for the coronavirus, causing a huge upheaval to production on the sequel from director J.A. Bayona. However Universal has completely denied these claims, saying the production is well underway and hasn’t been disrupted by the ongoing pandemic. The film has resumed production at Pinewood Studios in the U.K.

The country has begun easing its lockdown, although cases continue to rise in certain areas of the U.K. with nearly 300,000 cases recorded so far. But before production on the film picked up, Universal spent $5 million on safety precautions for cast and crew. The studio told Deadline that production is going well and is five days into shooting, with one spokesperson completely debunking the claims that the coronavirus had halted work on the film again.

“Any reports indicating that Jurassic World: Dominion has halted production are categorically untrue”
