Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling physical production.”

While FOX has been working on Hellfire Club which got announced last year being in early development, Variety broke the news that the project has officially been cancelled. The creative team behind this project consists of Matt Nix (Burn Notice) who is writing the pilot script and he will serve as an Executive Producer.

The team also consists of X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner, director Bryan Singer, X-Men screenwriter, Simon Kinberg, Jim Chory and Marvel TV’s president Jeph Loeb, that will all be serving as Executive Producers on the project.

In a statement about the mystery project, David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, said the following.

“Developing a Marvel property has been a top priority for the network–and we are so pleased with how Matt Nix has led us into this thrilling universe. There’s comic book adventure, emotional and complicated relationships, and a rich, existing mythology from which to draw. With the brilliant production crew behind this project, it has all the makings of a big, fun and exciting new series.”
