A new international trailer for the box office hit Venom unveils the famed comic book character She-Venom for the first time.
Knock knock, Tom Hardy isn’t the only one who let the devil in. Fans of all things comic book know all about She-Venom and are still keeping their fingers crossed that a solo film will manifest in Sony’s universe of Marvel characters. But for now, a new international trailer has unveiled the character’s appearance in the film for everyone to enjoy. And I must say the design is very comic book accurate. You can check out the video below.
Michelle Williams did a fantastic job as Anne Weying in the movie and has already expressed interest in a standalone movie starring the famed Marvel anti-hero. It isn’t crazy for Sony to give her a solo pic. Marvel and DC are doing well with female-led properties. She-Venom could easily join the list of Femme Fatales that can hold their own in the spotlight. And with a powerhouse like Michelle Williams, fans would be in for a serious game changer. Here is hoping we see more of this character in the not too distant future. For now, you can catch her for a moment in Venom, which is out now.
Would you like to see a She-Venom stand-alone film or would you just rather see her have more screen time in a sequel? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer and written by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner and Kelly Marcel, the film stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Michelle Williams, Scott Haze, Jenny Slate and Riz Ahmed, with Woody Harrelson.
Venom is in theaters now.
