Kevin Feige Says There Is No End In Sight For The MCU; Expect A ‘Very Different’ Phase Four

Phase Three is about to kick off next month when Captain America: Civil War hits theaters but of course we’re already preparing ourselves for what’s in store for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Phase Four. If you thought for some crazy reason that there might be an end in sight, Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige would tell you otherwise.

However, you can definitely expect a much different Marvel Cinematic Universe following the upcoming two-part Avengers: Infinity War. While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Feige commented on what the future holds for this universe once Phase Three comes to a conclusion.

I think you look at comics as a guide. I think there will be a finality to moments of Phase Three, as well as new beginnings that will mark a different, a very different, a distinctively different chapter in what will someday be a complete first saga made up of three phases,

When asked about the characters who won’t be appearing in Captain America: Civil War as well as the choice to introduce a number of new characters throughout the course of Phase Three, Feige added that this choice was “somewhat intentional to go and explore the other aspects [of the universe].”
While it doesn’t mean that they’ll be disappearing, with many of the current cast’s contracts coming to an end, it’s very likely that we can expect these new characters such as ‘Captain Marvel’, ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Black Panther’ and more to become the main players starting in Phase Four.
