AMC Airing Two-Hour ‘Walking Dead’ Look Back Special

The Walking Dead is getting ready to return to television with its season seven premiere but before audiences find out who survives the encounter with Negan, AMC will be airing a two-hour special look back at seasons past.

The two-hour show will be titled, The Walking Dead: Journey So Far and airs from 9-11 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16th. While getting audiences caught up on the show, it will also feature special interviews with members of the cast and executive producers.

AMC released a press statement about this unique special:

“Season by season, from the moment Rick wakes up in the hospital (as told by Andrew Lincoln), all the way to the excruciating first swing of Negan’s bat (told by Jeffery Dean Morgan and others in the lineup), the story of “The Walking Dead” will be told by those who have lived it. “The Walking Dead: Journey So Far” gives viewers who have never seen an episode of “The Walking Dead” a chance to get all caught up on the plot, characters, locations, and unique terminology of the series as well as providing fans who‘ve never missed a moment with fresh interviews with the series’ producers and their favorite actors as part of an exciting refresher course that will further whet their appetite for the new season.”

The Walking Dead returns on Sunday, October 23 at 9/8c on AMC. Following the return of The Walking Dead, AMC’s Talking Dead will be returning for an extended episode. OnTalking Dead, the entire cast that was in the Negan introduction scene will be on the show.
