AMC Officially Confirms How Much Time Has Passed On ‘The Walking Dead’

The Walking Dead Andrew Lincoln

The official Twitter account for AMC’s The Walking Dead confirmed how much has passed since the series began.

The Walking Dead timeline has caused a lot of confusion among fans, especially when considering the fact that Maggie has been pregnant for multiple seasons while both Carl and Judith have aged significantly since their respective first appearances. Now, AMC has confirmed that 632 days have passed between the series premiere and when Rick was held in Jadis shipping container during the 8thseason.

This would mean that roughly a year and nine months have passed since the zombie apocalypse began, which some fans are finding difficult to believe considering Chandler Riggs, who was 10 years old when he started playing Grimes, left the series when he was 18.

The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Lauren Cohan as Maggie Rhee, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, Alanna Masterson as Tara Chambler, Josh McDermitt as Eugene Porter, Christian Serratos as Rosita Espinosa,  Seth Gilliam as Gabriel Stokes, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan Austin Amelio as Dwight, Tom Payne as Paul “Jesus” Rovia, Xander Berkeley as Gregory, Khary Payton as Ezekiel, Katelyn Nacon as Enid, Pollyanna McIntosh as Jadis / Anne, Callan McAuliffe as Alden, Avi Nash as Siddiq and Samantha Morton as Alpha.

The Walking Dead season 9 premieres on October 7, 2018 on AMC.
