The last season of The Walking Dead introduced viewers to the community known as The Kingdom and their theatrical leader named King Ezekiel. Playing the role of a medieval-style ruler, with his pet Tiger Shiva by his side, Ezekiel’s uneasy arrangement with the Saviors spared members of the peaceful community from a gruesome death at the hands of Negan.
However, as tensions between both communities grew and lives were taken by the Saviors, Ezekiel could no longer placate Negan’s group. Uniting with Maggie and the Hilltop, Ezekiel and the Kingdom successfully thwarted Negan’s efforts to punish Rick’s community, winning the first battle in what will become an all-out war.
Now, as production on the upcoming eighth season begins, actor Khary Payton has shared a new photo of King Ezekiel on his official Twitter account. Unfortunately, the photo only features Ezekiel’s shadow, though Payton’s caption with the image is certainly in line with the character’s style of dialogue delivery.
