The first official look at WandaVision has Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany’s Vision on the set of a 1950s sitcom.
WandaVision is shaping up to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most out-there entry yet, and the first look does not shy away from being bonkers. A new photo from the set of the show showcases that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will create a reality not too dissimilar to the world of I Love Lucy, in which she and Paul Bettany’s Vision live a normal life free from superpowers.

Paul Bettany’s Vision died in the events of Avengers: Infinity War, and was the only major character from that movie to not appear in Avengers: Endgame. How the Vision is going to return remains to be seen, but in all likelihood, Scarlet Witch’s powers will play a role in however he comes back.
WandaVision centers on Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch after the events of Avengers: Endgame and is believed to follow the character after she creates an idyllic world in which Paul Bettany’s The Vision is still alive. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also confirmed WandaVision will lead directly into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will see Elizabeth Olsen reprise her role as Scarlet Witch. The first half of the series is set to take cues from multiple sitcoms over the decades, while the second half is said to be a Marvel blockbuster.
WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role.
WandaVision is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in the Spring of 2021.
