Warner Bros. will unveil new Birds of Prey costumes at the DC Booth during New York Comic-Con 2019.
After making her debut as Harley Quinn in Warner Bros. and DC’s Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie will reprise her role in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). However, Warner Bros.’ Birds of Prey will seemingly have a brighter tone and costume aesthetic compated to Suicide Squad and fans will get a glimpse at those new outfits at New York Comic-Con next month.
Warner Bros. announced The DC booth (#SC4001) will open on Thursday, October 3rd, and will display never-before-seen costumes for Harley Quinn, Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, and Cassandra Cain in Birds of Prey. Fans who attended the convention will have the chance to take part in photo opportunities giveaways, and be the first to glimpse new Birds of Prey-inspired lifestyle products.
Furthermore, the booth will provide fans with a chance to see Funko’s collectible Pop! figures and exclusive fashion collections from premier brands and retailers. Outside of the convention center, Warner Bros. will display “eye-popping, psychedelic, Harley-ized billboards” to promote Birds of Prey.
Full details on the Birds of Prey plot are currently unknown, though the film is said to center on Huntress, Black Canary, and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn joining forces to protect Cassandra Cain when she comes into the possession of a diamond belonging to a criminal kingpin known as Black Mask.
Directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, Warner Bros.’ Birds of Prey stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ewan, McGregor as Black Mask, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Ali Wong, Robert Catrini, and Michael Masini have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
Birds of Prey will be released in theaters on February 7, 2020.
