Warner Bros. Games Montreal is continuing to tease the next rumoured Batman game in the Arkham Asylum series.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal has released a cryptic new teaser for the rumored Batman game that will supposedly follow up on 2015’s Arkham Knight. While Arkham Knight seemingly saw Bruce Wayne hang up the cape and cowl, its ambiguous ending alongside Warner Bros. Montreal’s new teasers has led fans to believe that a new installment in the Batman: Arkham Asylum series is on the way. But the latest teaser has already sparked off a debate on Twitter.

The latest teaser from Warner Bros. Games Montreal with the caption “Cape sur la nuit / Capture the Knight” slowly revealed an intriguing new logo that was quickly put together by fans. The cryptic new teaser shows off what looks like a government logo combined with a mysterious insignia. Batman fans on Twitter are already debating whether it’s the Gotham City Police Department logo combined with the Court of Owls or a tease for the Suicide Squad. On the film side, Batman is set to return in a new film directed by Matt Reeves. Full plot details for Matt Reeves’ The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and Paul Dano as the Riddler. Westworld star Jeffrey Wright was recently reported to be in talks for the role of Commissioner James Gordon.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
