Awards season is upon us and now Warner Bros. has officially launched their Oscar campaign for Wonder Woman with a “For Your Consideration” page.
After Wonder Woman experienced a summer of critical acclaim and record-breaking box office success, Warner Bros. will be giving the film a major push for the 2018 Academy Awards. The studio has now launched a “For Your Consideration” page featuring the films they plan to submit for Oscar nominations and Wonder Woman is included in the group of Academy Award hopefuls. Warner Bros has put Wonder Woman forward for fifteen of the sixteen eligible categories – including Best Visual Effects, Sound Mixing, and Costume Design – with the studio hoping the film can earn a Best Picture nomination and a Best Director nomination for Patty Jenkins.

Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui.
