The opening sequence for The New Mutants has been released from this year’s virtual San Diego Comic-Con.
The New Mutants is a film that has had what has to be one of the strangest release date patten in recent memory. The film was originally set to be released in April of 2018 but was delayed multiple times due, in part to 20th Century Fox wanting to rework the film and then because of Disney’s looming acquisition of the company. Eventually, director Josh Boone was brought back on to supervise editing the project and it looked as if the film would finally see the light of day.
The film was set to be released on April 3rd of 2020 but was delayed once again due to ongoing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. The film is currently scheduled to be released on August 28th but much of what we can expect from the film has already been seen in the film’s various trailers. Now this includes the film’s opening sequence.
During this year’s virtual San Diego Comic-Con, a panel was held for the upcoming film. At the end of it, we got to see the opening sequence for the upcoming film. You can see the full panel below!
