Academy Award winners Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will compose to the score for HBO’s Watchmen television series.

HBO’s Watchmen television series will transport audiences to the world created by comic book writer Alan Moore with a new story and The Leftovers producer Damon Lindelof will serve as an executive producer. Now, composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who won an Academy Award for their work on David Fincher’s The Social Network, are set to provide the music for the upcoming Watchmen series.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ previous film credits include Patriots Day, Gone Girl, the American remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and climate-change documentary Before the Flood. Of course, both are also known for their work with the rock band Nine Inch Nails.

Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, WATCHMEN embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.

Additional executive producers include Nicole Kassell, Tom Spezialy, Stephen Williams, and Joseph Iberti.

HBO’s Watchmen stars Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, and Dylan Schombing.

Watchmen is set to debut on HBO in 2019. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming series and make sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content.
