Marvel Studios’ ‘What If…?’ Release Date Reportedly Revealed

What If...? is arriving sooner than we thought.

The release month for Marvel Studios’ animated What If…? series has reportedly been revealed in a Summer preview.

One of the most intriguing projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is undeniably What If…? which takes its cues from the comics of the same name which have graced the shelves for decades. For those not familiar with the concept, each story imagines a potential future where certain things about specific heroes are drastically. For example the first teaser for the Marvel Studios series saw Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter in what looks like a Captain Britain uniform along with a shield with the Union Jack on it, instead of a singular star.

But we finally know when to expect Marvel Studios’ What If…? on Disney Plus, as a Summer preview from Entertainment Weekly lists it as having an August release for the streaming service. Since trades like EW are usually told in advance about release dates, it seems fairly reliable that What If…? will arrive this summer. And given the cosmic madness of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series, it makes sense to follow that up with the bizarre nature of What If…?

Are you excited to see what’s in store for Marvel Studios’ What If…? series? What kind of alternate stories are you hoping for in the show? Sound-off in the comments below!
