A Hasboy toy for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 puts the spotlight on Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been eagerly awaiting the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film promises to be a thrilling continuation of the adventures of the lovable group of misfits and has been in the works for quite some time now. With Vol 3. arriving in theaters this May, Hasbo has revealed a new toy showing off one of the newest characters to join the franchise: Adam Warlock, played by Will Poulter.
Adam Warlock makes his MCU debut
Adam Warlock is a significant character in the comics and his appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has been long-awaited by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character was first teased in a post-credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and director James Gunn has confirmed that he will have a prominent role in the MCU. The recent release of the Hasbro toy has given fans a sneak peek at what Adam Warlock will look like in the film, genearing a great deal of excitement and speculation.
One confirmed aspect of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the return of James Gunn as writer and director. Gunn was originally set to direct the film after the success of the first two Guardians flicks, but was temporarily removed from the project due to controversial tweets that resurfaced from his past. However, after a public outcry from the Guardians cast and fans, Gunn was reinstated on the film. Vol. 3 is his last Marvel movie due to his commitments to DC Studios.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 synopsis reads as follows: “Our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere, but it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life – a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”
