Will Smith & Martin Lawrence’s ‘Bad Boys For Life’ Getting Early Digital Release

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s critically-acclaimed Bad Boys For Life will be hitting digital platforms earlier than expected.

With social distancing slowly becoming the norm all across the globe, theatres have shuttered their doors. With multiplexes no longer open, a plethora of newly-released films like Onward, The Invisible Man, and Birds of Prey are getting early digital releases to capitalize on the mass public staying at home for an extended period of time. The latest film to hit digital platforms is Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s Bad Boys For Life.

Sony has revealed that Bad Boys For Life will be available on digital platforms on March 31, barely two months after the film made its cinematic debut. When compared to other films like The Hunt and Emma, Bad Boys For Life is certainly in a better position financially.

Opening in mid-January to stellar reviews, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s Bad Boys For Life saw the duo returning to the franchise after nearly two decades. The film was praised for its high-octane action sequences and Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s electric energy which failed to fade during their long hiatus from the franchise. Bad Boys For Life has grossed over $400 million worldwide, the highest for the franchise that debuted back in 1995.

At this current junction, Bad Boys For Life is the highest grossing film of the year and it will most likely hold that title for the foreseeable future as tons of studio tentpoles like Black Widow and A Quiet Place II have been delayed.
