Willem Dafoe Spider-Man MCU

Willem Dafoe is rumored to return as his Green Goblin and unite the Sinister Six in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The rumors surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home have been running wild with all the characters said to be in the Marvel film. Tom Holland has even teased that it will be one of the most ambitious solo superhero movies ever made. We know the upcoming film will tap into the multiverse in some capacity, with Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx’s Electro as the only confirmed villains. In addition to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s rumored return, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin has been another name floated out there for the film.

The Willem Dafoe rumor gained more traction on Thursday when Collider’s Jeff Sneider shared on his podcast that his Green Goblin will be the main adversary in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sneider noted that Dafoe’s Norman Osborn would unite the Sinister Six with Rhino, The Lizard, and Sandman. It’s unclear at this time if those roles will be filled by the actors we’ve seen in the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb films. The Spider-Man: No Way Home title also apparently alludes to the villains, who now find themselves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What are your thoughts on Willem Dafoe coming back as Green Goblin? Do you think the villains will return with new looks? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
