Willem Dafoe Spotted Arriving On The Set Of ‘Aquaman’

Willem Dafoe -- best known to Comic book fans as the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man -- has been spotted arriving on the set of Aquaman in Australia.

Willem Dafoe — best known to Comic book fans as the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man — has been spotted arriving on the set of Aquaman in Australia.

Plot details are still under wraps however Dafoe is set to play Nuidis Vulko, a trusted advisor to Aquaman and Atlantean politician in the film which has been described as a swashbuckling action adventure from director James Wan.

The photos captured by Chris Polson were shared on Twitter by the DC fan account Universo DC revealing the actor along with a photo captured via cell phone of an article from the Australian newspaper Courier-Mail which states that “80 support crew… on the [North Stradbroke] island for filming…”. Aquaman also stars Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Patrick Wilson as Aquaman’s villainous half-brother Orm Marius aka Ocean Master, Amber Heard as Mera, Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s father Thomas Curry, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.

Aquaman is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on December 21, 2018 but Dafoe will make his debut in the DCEU later this year in the epic superhero team-up flick Justice League directed by Zack Snyder.
