The identity of William Jackson Harper’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania character has been revealed.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania features the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of actor William Jackson Harper. While Marvel wouln’t comment on the casting, Daniel Richtman reports that Harper is playing a character named “Quaz.” The insider describes him as “a telepath who is a part of a rebel group against Kang.”
William Jackson Harper has long been a fan-favorite to take on the role of Reed Richards in the next Fantastic Four movie but he appears to be playing an original creation for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The actor confirmed his Marvel casting with a message on his official Twitter page before deleting his account.
A newcomer in the realm of comic book movies, William Jackson Harper is best known for his role as Chidi Anagonye in NBC’s The Good Place, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He was most recently seen in the Peacock series The Resort.
Ant-Man and The Wasp are back
Marvel recently released the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, giving fans a first look at the upcoming movie. The threequel sees Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp going up against Kang the Conqueror, with Jonathan Majors playing the iconic Marvel villain.
Directed by Peyton Reed from a script written by Jeff Loveness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania also features Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, Jonathan Majors and Bill Murray. The film is currently slated to hit theaters on on February 17, 2023.
