The Marvel Cinematic Universe has added William Jackson Harper!

William Jackson Harper has boarded the cast of the Marvel Studios feature Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Variety reports that William Jackson Harper (The Good Place) has officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the actor is set to appear in next year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Details regarding Harper’s role are being kept under wraps, but he is believed to be playing a resident of the Quantum Realm. His casting was first reported by Daniel Richtman.

William Jackson Harper has long been a fan-favorite to take on the role of Reed Richards in the next Fantastic Four movie but he is playing a different character in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The actor confirmed his Marvel casting with a message on his official Twitter page.

A newcomer in the realm of comic book movies, William Jackson Harper is best known for his role as Chidi Anagonye in NBC’s The Good Place, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He was most recently seen in the Peacock series The Resort.

Is William Harper Jackson also fighting Kang?

Marvel recently released the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, giving fans a first look at the upcoming movie. The threequel sees Ant-Man and The Wasp going up against Kang the Conqueror, with Jonathan Majors playing the iconic Marvel villain.

Directed by Peyton Reed from a script written by Jeff Loveness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania  also features Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, Jonathan Majors and Bill Murray. The film is currently slated to hit theaters on on February 17, 2023.
