The new Chinese trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 revealed a battle between Diana Prince and Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah.

With Wonder Woman 1984 heading to theaters in the United Kingdom, China and France next week, new footage and posters are continuing to make their way online before the film lands on HBO Max in the U.S. on Christmas Day. The most recent Chinese teaser for the DC film briefly shows off a battle between Diana Prince and Cheetah after Barbara Minerva transforms into her comic-accurate look. Director Patty Jenkins recently opened up about Warner Bros.’ new release model – noting that it works for the DC sequel but overall she doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

While the new teaser briefly shows off the fight between Wonder Woman and Cheetah against lightning crashing through the sky, the footage heavily leans into the hopeful nature of the hero. There’s plenty of new shots of Diana saving civilians and being generally heroic. From the first reactions revealed by critics, it seems Wonder Woman 1984 will be worth the wait for audiences across the world. Take a look at the new teaser below.
