Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot discusses who Diana Prince is in the sequel.

Wonder Woman 1984 is one of Warner Bros. and DC’s most anticipated films of the year, and although it’s been delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, fans cannot wait to see it in theaters. The film is tentatively set to hit theaters in October and marketing for the the film is expected to begin this weekend with DC FanDome. For fans that can’t wait until then, we got something for you.

Back in 2018, we were invited to the set of Wonder Woman 1984 and had the chance to chat with Gal Gadot. The actress opened up about the sequel and even told us a bit about who Diana Prince is in 1984. If you don’t remember when we last saw Diana at the end of Wonder Woman, she turned her back on the world of men after the death of the love of her life, Steve Trevor. Now the question on everyones mind is does she actually stay away from the world of men in this movie? According to Gadot, it doesn’t seem like she does.

Yes, you will. She’s been very much – she’s been involved in the Men’s World when she was needed.” said Gadot. “She doesn’t really want to make close connections with anyone, because she knows, either she’s going to hurt them because she’ll have to disappear one day, or she will lose them because they’ll grow old. So I think after the loss of Steve and the entire team later on, I think Diana is in a place where she’s happy where she is. She’s fairly lonely, but she made the decision to do that. And she does go to the world whenever it’s needed. But she’s not complete, you know what I mean? She’s very – she has issues.”
