A new Wonder Woman 1984 behind-the-scenes image reveals that the Amazons will be sporting golden tattoos in the upcoming film.

The first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 revealed that the upcoming sequel will be making a return to Themyscira for some flashback sequences. The last time we saw the Amazons was in Justice League, which takes place in present day. There’s also a spin-off film centered on the Amazons in the works that was pitched by Geoff Johns and Patty Jenkins, who is set to produce.

Wonder Woman 1984 was originally going to hit theaters next month, but has since been pushed back to August due to the coronavirus. However, this hasn’t stopped new material from the film finding its way online. A new behind-the-scenes photo from Wonder Woman 1984 recently appeared on an Instagram Story from the film’s Canary Islands shoot and reveals that the Amazons will have golden tattoos on their arms in the upcoming film. Full details on the upcoming film’s plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
