As Marvel and DC crank out more movies, the pointless rivalry between fans continues (even though both are successful). You wouldn’t know that from the way that creators for projects on either side act, though, since Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins just praised the latest trailer for Black Panther.
Jenkins took to Twitter to offer her quick impressions of the new trailer for Black Panther:
Damn. This looks really great and powerful. Gave me chills! Can't wait to see it. https://t.co/uahWwOzSZP

Jenkins was previously set to direct Thor: The Dark World at Marvel Studios, but she dropped out of the project before production began in earnest. Based on her work on Wonder Woman – and The Dark World‘s mixed reception – it seems like Marvel missed a golden opportunity. Still, Jenkins doesn’t seem to hold that against them, and her enthusiasm for a competitor studio’s project is something that ought to repair the divide between fans.
Black Panther strikes on February 16, 2018. The movie will feature a cast that includes Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa (Black Panther), Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, John Kani as T’Chaka, Sterling K. Brown as N’Jobu, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Kilmonger, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, and Winston Duke as M’Baku (Man-Ape). In addition, Atandwa Kani has been cast in an unspecified role.
