‘Wonder Woman’ Star Gal Gadot Shares Photos With ‘Captain Marvel’ Star Brie Larson

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot shared new photos of herself with Captain Marvel star Brie Larson at the Oscars.

After playing a supporting role in Batman v Superman, Gal Gadot finally took the spotlight with the release of Wonder Woman in 2017. Receiving critical acclaim and breaking box office records, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman quickly became one of, if the most, popular characters in the DC Extended Universe franchise.

Two years later, Brie Larson became the first woman to play the lead role in a Marvel Studios’ film with Captain Marvel. The film also became a financial success, eventually crossing the $1 billion mark the worldwide

Now, Gal Gadot has taken to her official Instagram account to share of photo of herself with Brie Larson at the 2020 Academy Awards. Included with photo is a caption that reads, “Make love. Not War,” perhaps a nod to the fact that many fans perceived the Marvel and DC films to be rivals.

Brie Larson will reprise her role as Carol Danvers in Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel sequel. Full details on the film are currently unknown, though the recently unveiled Phase 4 line-up did not include Captain Marvel 2, indicating the Brie Larson film is part of the Phase 5 slate.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince in the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984. Full details on the plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.

Wonder Woman 1984 will be released in theaters on June 4, 2020.
