‘Wonder Woman’ Satirized In Latest Installment Of ‘Honest Trailers’

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot
The latest installment of Honest Trailers sends up Wonder Woman just in time for the home video release of the DC film.

The latest episode of the web series notes the importance and historical significance of Wonder Woman, but it also roasts the DC Comics film for common criticisms including the weak villain and occasionally questionable dialogue. Fellow DC Extended Universe films, particularly Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, are also subject to criticism.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui.

Wonder Woman is now available on Digitial HD, Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.

She doesn’t need a full team beside her — Wonder Woman is warrior enough to defend the innocent from all types of threats.
