DC’s Wonder Woman doesn’t hit theaters for a few more months, but the merchandising campaign has begun at one retail giant. Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, we now know that Warner Bros. has teamed with Mattel to produce a line of toys that will exclusively debut at Walmart and walmart.com nationwide on Friday. Walmart will be offering a variety of Wonder Woman themed merchandise which includes dolls, toys, and an exclusive 2-pack set of Wonder Woman and her love interest and ally Steve Trevor. This exclusive month-long program lasts until April 28. More exclusive products will roll out in May with merchandise from Jakks Pacific, Funko, and Fisher-Price launching.
Here’s what Warner Bros. Consumer Products president Pam Lifford had to say during a statement,
“We’re thrilled to bring Wonder Woman front and center to retailers worldwide in support of her first solo feature film. WBCP has developed an incredible assortment of trend-right products in collaboration with our best-in-class licensees, allowing fans of all ages to express their fandom and bring Wonder Woman’s empowerment, inspiration and beauty to life.”
More merchandise will be coming courtesy of The LEGO Group, Funko, Rubie’s Costumes, Bisworld, Hallmark, and New Era. These products will be available through multiple international retailers starting April 7.
