‘Wonder Woman’: 92% Of Filmgoers Want To See Female Led Superhero Film

'Wonder Woman' tickets have gone on sale at Fandango, who conducted a poll revealing that 92% of filmgoers want to see female led superhero film.

 Despite being one of the most iconic superheroes in comic book history, Wonder Woman had yet to receive her own live-action standalone film for decades. That will change when Gal Gadot returns as the Amazonian warrior in Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman and tickets for the film have already gone on sale over at Fandango. Now, Deadline reports that a new poll indicates audiences are very eager to see the title character lead her own superhero film.

Deadline reports that a Fandango poll revealed that 92% of people said that they were looking forward to seeing a film with a standalone female superhero. The poll also revealed that out of the 1, 000 individuals sampled, 87% wish Hollywood would produce more film featuring female superheroes, 80% named Gald Gadot’s appearance as Wonder Woman in Batman v. Superman as their favorite part of the film and 65% are excited that Wonder Woman was directed by a woman.

Wonder Woman is currently tracking for a $65 – $100 million-plus debut.
