‘Wonder Woman’ Producer Charles Roven On The Prospect Of A Sequel

'Wonder Woman' producer Charles Roven discusses the chances of a sequel and expresses excitement of Diana's future in the DCEU.

Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman has finally arrived in theaters and fans are responding to the film with positive enthusiasm. While audiences will see Gal Gadot return as Diana in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the positive reception for Wonder Woman and probable box office success of the film have prompted fans to wonder if the titular heroine will land her own sequel. In an interview with CinemaBlend, producer Charles Roven discussed whether or not a Wonder Woman sequel was being considered.

Roven revealed that there are currently no plans in development and that the success of the film will determine what future Wonder Woman will have in the DCEU.

“Nothing has been written. We really want to focus on this movie, and I think the result of this movie is going to really define what the future of Wonder Woman is in the movies, other than the fact that you know that she’s in Justice League. And we’re really happy about that! But I think we’re all pretty pleased with the film, and you guys have been great, giving us amazingly wonderful positive feedback. We hope it continues on!”

The Hollywood Reporter recently confirmed Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins are contractually committed to another film, with Jenkins ready to set a potential sequel in contemporary times.
