Director Ava DuVernay has officially announced that her live-action take on Madeleine L’Engle’s beloved 1962 novel A Wrinkle in Time has wrapped filming. The project begun principal photography this past November, with a star-studded cast featuring Storm Reid, Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling, among many others.

DuVernay broke the news via Twitter by sharing a few set snaps and several images from the highly anticipated movie, giving us our very first look at some of the child actors such as Reid and her co-star Levi Miller, as well as one of the ensemble’s older members, Andre Holland. You can check them out below.

Reid portrays the film’s lead character, Margaret “Meg” Murry, a young girl who embarks on an interdimensional journey to find her missing father (Chris Pine) with some help from a friend (Miller) and her little brother (newcomer Deric McCabe) along with a trio of supernatural beings, played by Witherspoon, Winfrey and Kaling.

Helmed by DuVernay from a script by Jennifer Lee, A Wrinkle in Time also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Meg’s mother, Michael Peña as Red and Zach Galifianakis as the Happy Medium, with Bellamy Young, Rowan Blanchard and Will McCormack in undisclosed roles.

A Wrinkle in Time arrives in theaters on April 6, 2018.
