The sixth installment of the primary X-Men saga, X-Men: Apocalypse, released this year to poor reviews and only decent box office numbers. Given that, many of our readers likely didn’t see the film but can now experience the opening credits thanks to a YouTube post by Dylan Wolverine.

The opening credits in this film served to demonstrate how long Apocalypse had been in stasis and spans multiple centuries before reconvening to the familiar cerebro lock.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he wasworshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse releases on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 4th.

Not a big fan of these types of opening credits. Too busy and looks video gamelike. My opinion, for whatever it’s worth.

Nothing like a game. This is a perfect reaccuring theme the xmen movies have done since 2000.

This film wasn’t as bad as some fans and critics made it out to be. The idea behind the film was great, but the execution was mediocre, especially the writing and some of the visuals, but the performances were really good. I gave this film a 6/10. The opening credits were actually amazing, the best of any comic book film this year

I meant the opening scene, not opening credits

Great scene that calls back. X-Men Apocalypse 9/10 & I liked it better than Captain America Civil War 8/10.
