20th Century has just debuted the third trailer and final trailer for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. This new action-packed trailer consists of mostly entirely new footage from the film including a “special surprise” at the end that you just might have caught teased on the site a bit back. Snikt! Overall, this final trailer is the best one they’ve released yet and is a bit more character driven. There’s some great moments featuring these characters spinkled throughout but here’s hoping that the new X-Men get more time to shine in the film than they have in the trailers.
Director Bryan Singer has yet to let me down when it comes to his installments in this franchise, so here’s hoping that he has once again delivered something amazing. We’ll find out shorly as the film is now only a little more than a month away. Check out the trailer below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments section afterwards.
“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”
Only the strong will survive when X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
