A second trailer for the next X-Men film Dark Phoenix appears to be coming soon as the Japanese Twitter account for the film accidentally teased the date of February 28 before deleting the tweet.
While a second trailer has been officially classified by the British Board of Film Classification, coming in at 1 minute and 31 seconds, this is reportedly a condensed version of the first trailer according to TrailerTrack. However, it seems as if a new trailer is indeed on the way. Check out the promo video below teasing February 28 as a possible release date for the next trailer.

In the first trailer to the upcoming sequel of X-Men: Apocalypse, we see a young Jean Grey arrive at the X-Mansion looking for help from Charles Xavier before flashing back forward to an older teenage Grey dealing with some internal struggle with her powers. She then seeks out Magneto from what’s rumored to be Genosha, a sanctuary for mutants. At some point, the two teachers are faced off again perhaps because of their ideological differences, but then must come back together to fight a new threat they have never seen before.
We’ve seen the Dark Phoenix saga play out in the X-Men comic books, television series and in X-Men: The Last Stand. A film that resulted with Logan/Wolverine digging his adamantium claws into Jean Grey and killing her. Leaving Logan with all types of PTSD in his follow up standalone film The Wolverine.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is directed by Simon Kinberg and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.
“In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.”
The film is set to hit theaters on June 7, 2019.
Ways The X-Men Could Be Integrated Into The Marvel Cinematic…
We have yet to learn exactly when Marvel plan on bringing their newest acquisitions, the X-Men and Fantastic Four, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it will require a lot of thinking in order to get it right.
With Avengers: Infinity War and its yet-to-be titled sequel rapidly approaching, it makes sense that we won’t see any new characters until after those movies, but it’s exciting to think they could already be on our screens in just over a year.
