VIDEO: ‘Shazam’ Director Jokingly Reveals Title Of Zachary Levi Sequel

Shazam Fury of the Gods Zachary Levi Marvel DC

Shazam director David F. Sandberg has jokingly revealed the title of the Zachary Levi sequel.

David F. Sandberg is well known among Shazam fans for having a fantastic presence on social media, where he shares news, behind-the-scenes footage and occasionally hilarious jokes. Currently busy working on the Shazam sequel that will star Zachary Levi as the titular character, the director decided to spend some time workshopping the title for the sequel.

Taking to Instagram for a much-needed grocery-break, the Shazam director found himself in the produce aisle as one often does. In the produce aisle, he seems to have found the perfect title for the Zachary-Levi starring sequel to Shazam.

You can check out the video the Shazam director posted to tease the title of the Zachary Levi sequel.

As healthy as the title sounds, there is no way that Zachary Levi and co. will be starring in Shazam! Shishito Peppers anytime soon. The title isn’t dark and brooding enough for a sequel that will feature a more mature Billy Batson. At this point in time, we have no idea what the title for Zachary Levi’s Shazam sequel will be. Details for the Shazam sequel are quite low, as the film is currently still being written. Zachary Levi is set to return as the powerful hero Shazam, along with Asher Angel who portrays Billy Batson.

Here’s the official synopsis for Zachary Levi’s Shazam! movie:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.

Shazam is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Zachary Levi’s Shazam sequel.
