Zack Snyder has stated that Ray Fisher’s Cyborg will be the heart of his upcoming cut of Justice League.
No one is more excited to see Zack Snyder’s Justice League than Ray Fisher, who reprised his role as Cyborg after briefly appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fisher has been a known advocate for what was once touted as “The Snyder Cut” and has been vocal of the changes that plagued Justice League, including the ones that reduced his role of Cyborg to absolute mush. With Snyder’s cut of Justice League on the horizon, Fisher took to Twitter to thank both Snyder and writer Chris Terrio for putting him in the film.
Zack Snyder, who has always been a champion for Ray Fisher, responded to the tweet by telling the Cyborg that he’s the heart of the upcoming director’s cut of Justice League.

This is such a sweet exchange for fans to see considering both Ray Fisher and Zack Snyder have always been team players, with the former always maintaining how he’s indebted to Snyder for the opportunity to play Cyborg. There was an disappointment in the air when Justice League hit cinemas and Fisher’s Cyborg role was relegated to a side character who occasionally made a half-passable joke. Snyder’s intentions for Cyborg were gargantuan, with the film focusing more on the character’s complicated foray into adulthood. It may have taken three years, but we’re only a year away from seeing Cyborg finally be the character he was meant to be.
