A clever Justice League fan just found an interesting thematic connection left behind by Zack Snyder. Twitter user Nick Albright refers to the newly-released deleted Justice League scene. The scene made news recently as it finally unveiled the long-rumored black Superman suit. However, Zack Snyder seems to have intended far more than a simple callback for comic fans. Snyder even confirmed the fan’s suspicions in reply:

Albright refers to a moment in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in which Johnathan Kent encourages a young Clark:

All these changes that you’re going through, one day… one day you’re gonna think of them as a blessing; and when that day comes, you’re gonna have to make a choice… a choice of whether to stand proud in front of the human race or not.

The deleted Justice League scene shows Superman walking through a hall containing several different costumes. After his resurrection, Superman makes the choice to stick with his classic red and blue digs. This is an affirmation that he will continue to be the Superman that we know, and perhaps the more optimistic one we meet in Justice League.  Zack Snyder’s inclusion of this theme is a great way to wrap up the character’s arc in his first three appearances.

So what do you think of this connection? Do you wish it had made the cut? Let us know in the comments down below!

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds. Justice League is now available on Digital HD and will be released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, and DVD on March 13th.
