Zack Snyder Shares New ‘Justice League’ Image Of Darkseid In Action

Darkseid Justice League Zack Snyder Cut Ava DuVernay New Gods

Zack Snyder just dropped a brand new still from his cut of Justice League that spotlights Darkseid launching his way into the fight during the original “history lesson” sequence.

Justice League went through various reshoots once Joss Whedon took over for Zack Snyder as director. Since then, Zack Snyder has taken to Vero to unveil almost everything from his cut of Justice League. One of the main scenes that had to be reshot was the original opening sequence that featured a massive battle with the Atlanteans, the Amazons, Green Lanterns, Gods, and ancient humans. The original opening was called “history lesson” and a young Darkseid a.k.a. Uxas was also set to appear during this sequence.

In Joss Whedon’s cut of Justice League, the “history lesson” was reduced to a mere flashback that gets told to us by Wonder Woman and Darkseid was removed from it entirely. Zack Snyder took to Vero to reveal a new look at Darkseid in action from his cut of Justice League. Zack Snyder also alludes to David Thewlis appearing as Ares in his version of the film.
