New storyboards from Zack Snyder’s Justice League show off Steppenwolf’s original invasion on Earth.

Back in May, the entire superhero sub-culture melted when it was revealed that Zack Snyder was finally getting the opportunity to deliver his cut of Justice League. Set to hit the WarnerMedia streaming service HBO Max in 2021, Snyder’s cut of the film is set to feature the components of his vision that were previously compromised. These components will include never- before-seen characters like Martian Manhunter, as well as more subtle changes like a different color tone. With a longer runtime and less restrictions, it’s certain that Snyder will take some time to further expand the backstory of Steppenwolf, the main villain of Justice League.

Though not well received in the theatrical cut of the film, Steppenwolf is one of the Justice League’s most demonic foes. With the brand new cut in tow, many are wondering how Zack Snyder will further flesh out Steppenwolf. One of the best ways to do so would be to give him a more evil presence, particularly at the point of his invasion.

Storyboards from Zack Snyder’s Justice League offer fans a look at Steppenwolf’s original base, which is filled to the brim with demonic imagery. Be sure to swipe right to see all the storyboards from Justice League, especially the ones showing the floating red crosses.
