The new season arrives next month!

The Boys recently parodied Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and the beloved filmmaker has now responded.

In The Boys season two, the Supes are notably filming Dawn of the Seven, and a joke is made about rewrites being done by a guy named Joss. Of course, Joss Whedon notably handled the reshoots for Justice League after Zack Snyder exited the project years ago.

Following the Joss Whedon joke, The Boys are now poking some fun at the Snyder Cut movement ahead of season three with the fake trailer for Dawn of the Seven using the hashtag #ReleaseTheBourkeCut. In addition to watching the trailer below, you can also see Zack Snyder’s response:

Here is the synopsis for the second season of Amazon’s The Boys:

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Jensen Ackles.

The Boys returns to Amazon Prime Video on June 3, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the series, Zack Snyder’s upcoming projects, the future of the Justice League franchise, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
