Zack Snyder

Zack Snyder is a name that is certain to draw a bevy of responses from fans. From ultra passionate to lukewarm, Snyder’s distinct, gritty style has fans split on either side of the sprectrum. On one hand, there is consensus that he is the visual artist that the DC Extended Universe needs and his version of Justice League would have been the best version of the story. On the other hand, some would say that his darker approach handicapped the DCEU from telling light-hearted stories and took away the optimism that DC Comics characters, namely Superman, are known to exude.

Snyder is one of the few directors who use social media as an artistic outlet to share things with fans, including behind-the-scenes pictures from the movies he makes, namely the DCEU entries of Man Of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Justice League.

Today, Zack Snyder shared another behind-the-scenes photo on Vero, featuring Henry Cavill dressed in his Superman costume from the set of Man Of Steel. Check out the image below.

The image, filtered in Zack Snyder’s signature black and white tone, shows Cavill standing with his arms crossed in what looks to be a scene set during the battle of Metropolis. It is undeniable that Cavill was born to play Superman as he exudes the character’s comic presence with standing with his arms crossed over his chest.

While we wait for more updates from Zack Snyder, here’s hoping this image acts as a reminder for fans as to the level of responsibility that he had in building the DC Extended Universe.
