Zoe Saldana is one of the biggest names in acting today and is the only actress to headline 2 of the 4 movies that have crossed the $2 billion mark. The talented actress plays Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War and Neytiri in Avatar.

Saldana has become a staple in the sci-fi community starring in several successful franchises. The actress plays Gamora in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, Neytiri in the Avatar films and Uhura in the rebooted Star Trek franchise. The two former have put Zoe Saldana in a league of her own. She is the only actress right now to headline in two films that have grossed more than $2 billion. Avatar sits atop the list with $2.78 billion and Avengers: Infinity War just recently passed the $2 billion mark.

Both Gamora and Neytiri are no easy roles to take on. Gamora required some badass training and some time in the makeup chair to bring the daughter of Thanos to life. Neytiri required some serious mo-cap action and her own set of fight training as the Navi fight differently than space assassins. Zoe Saldana is set to reprise these roles in both of the films’ follow-ups.

Saldana may not be the main star of either film but every time she graces the screen she inevitably steals the show. Her performance was the driving force behind Avatar and her story arc in Infinity War was one of the most compelling things about the Marvel mega-mashup. Her skill, range and dedication to a role have a lot to do with why these films accomplished those larger-than-life numbers at the box office. Zoe Saldana is a force to be reckoned with within the industry and fans everywhere are looking forward to what she will do next.
