During a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 event, Zoe Saldana may have revealed the title for the fourth Avengers film, which is currently untitled. Originally, both Avengers 3 and 4 were sharing the Infinity War Part 1 and 2 title, respectively. That changed as the first film went into production and the title for the second film was dropped.
Just yesterday, Kevin Feige confirmed that the title for the fourth film was a spoiler, which is why it’s being kept in the dark. It seems that we’re in the loop now, thanks to Saldana. She dropped the tidbit during an interview with BBC’s Lizo Mzimbia.
“We’re in the middle of it, I think that the Guardians just shot their part when it comes to Infinity War’s, like, the first part. And we all have to go back for Gauntlet later this year.”

The title could possibly be Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet, a title that many of us speculated to be true. However, Gauntlet could simply be a placeholder, but it does seem unlikely given that the title is pretty spot-on.
This title also gives us a great indication as to where the story for the final two Avengers films is going. It’s possible that Thanos gets his hands on all the Infinity Stones at the end of Infinity War, resulting in him winning this round. Infinity Gauntlet could very well be the climactic showdown that the MCU has been building towards since the first Avengers.
Let’s just hope Kevin Feige isn’t too upset at Saldana, who’ll next be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Micheal Rooker, Kurt Russell, and the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits cinemas on May 5.
