Adam Beach revealed that Slipknot originally had a different opening scene in Suicide Squad that was eventually cut from the film.
Before Suicide Squad hit theaters, many people had a feeling that Adam Beach’s Slipknot wasn’t going to last long in the film. This turned out to be the case as the first member of the Suicide Squad to die after attempting to escape.
In the theatrical version of the film, Slipknot was the only character who didn’t get a proper introduction like the others too, which spelled out his death right from the start. As we continue to learn more about David Ayer’s Suicide Squad cut, Adam Beach shared that Slipknot originally had a different opening in the film that could be apart of the director’s version:
@DavidAyerMovies Are there more scenes shot with @adamruebenbeach #Slipknot? There was so little that we saw of him.#Skwad #ReleaseTheAyerCut pic.twitter.com/ivEnKaJfs7

Here is the synopsis for the 2016 film:
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Written and directed by David Ayer, the film stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, and Scott Eastwood.
