‘Agatha’: Marvel Reveals Final Title And Release Date For Disney Plus Series

It was Agatha all along!

Agatha All Along Logo Disney Plus Marvel MCU

The title was Agatha all along! Marvel has set an official release date for its most chaotic Disney Plus series to date, along with new footage.

Marvel had an unorthodox method of advertising the Agatha Disney Plus series. The project was first announced as Agatha: Darkhold Diaries before being retitled to Agatha: House of Harkness. Fans began to catch onto the joke as it once more changed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and finally Agatha: The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe. Now, with the show finally getting its final logo, the show has officially received the title Agatha All Along.

Agatha All Along is officially set to release on Disney Plus with a two-episode premiere on September 18. The series will feature the return of Kathryn Hahn as the titular Agatha Harkness. She’ll be joined by Joe Locke, who is heavily speculated to be playing a reincarnated version of Wiccan, alongside an entire coven of villainous witches.

Agatha All Along Gets New Footage

Marvel showed off some first-look footage for the Disney Plus series at its recent Upfronts presentation. The teaser starts with Agatha as a detective struggling to solve a murder case, with the name W. Maximoff next to the date October 13. Aubrey Plaza, who is set to play a witch in Agatha All Along, then appears with a taunting message.

“Is this really how you see yourself?” Plaza asks in the footage. “That witch is gone, leaving you in a distorted spell. Claw your way out.”

This prodding by Aubrey Plaza snaps Agatha out of her haze. The witch seems to remember the events of the prior Disney Plus show, stating “She took every bit of power had. I can be that witch again.”

The next few shots feature Agatha vowing to walk the Witch’s Road alongside a number of moments showing her mystical prowess. This reveals that the premise of Agatha All Along will be Agatha’s quest to rebuild her coven after losing her powers at the end of Wandavision.

The footage ends with Patti LuPone’s character asking “What witch in her right mind would join Agatha Harkness’ coven?”

Agatha then retorts with a final quip: “I’m not looking for right-minded witches.

Agatha All Along is certainly a massive departure from where fans thought the Disney Plus series would go. However, this shake-up may be exactly what the MCU needs in an era where fans think they know every card up the franchise’s sleeve.
